How We Met
Shan and I/Candace met on Facebook in 2016.
We had always been friends or followed each other on Facebook for as long as I can remember, but we never really interacted with one another outside of Facebook, unless it was to make a comment on one of our posts. His posts were always on the more controversial side, and I thought he was nuts! Turns out I was right! Haha! One day Shan slid into my dm's, (ha-ha) asking if we could meet up so that he could gift me with something he had made my dad and I for our lawncare business.
He had noticed that we were driving around Berea with only one car magnet on our vehicle, looking a little off brand, and he took it upon himself out of the kindness of his heart, to design, and print up a set of new matching car magnets to help us better advertise our business. He wanted us to have a more professional cohesive look. So, I said Absolutely Yes! And we met at The Circle K in Berea on Front Street so that he could give me the magnets.
When he got out of his car, I thought to myself, oh boy, he's tall, and pretty cute, Then I said to myself, hmmmm,
He gave me the magnets; I loved them immediately. I said thank you very much, and that I appreciated his loving gesture.
After that, we went about our days as usual.
Our first encounter was pretty short and to the point, but nonetheless, it left an impression on me and my dad, and apparently him as well.
I was so happy and grateful that he saw a need and addressed it accordingly.
It really touched me to know that he cared about our appearance as a black owned business and wanted us to look better while serving our community, also it made my dad so happy and proud, he loved them as well.
It was like Shan knew the quick way to get my attention at first, and then soon after, my heart.
Later on, that day after I received the magnets, I reached back out to see if Shan had any Ganja,,,,, and as they say folks, The rest is History!!!
